| at least until there is a resolve. In the first name line, put whatever you want, as it will disappear in a short time. In the last name put your first name_last name (eg. John_Smith). The system does not recognize the underscore and eventually your first name falls off. At first, your profile will have 2 first names (eg. John John_Smith), but will eventually read correctly for people trying to view your profile. The search function is obviously going to be affected by this, as you will have only the last name to search with and your last name begins with your first name. Currently if you search first name, which I tried John, I returned 0 results, and a last name search of Smith returns 475 results. If John Smith was a real member, in this example, and changed his (or her) name following the above instructions, a last name search of John Smith would substaintially narrow the search. I know there are bigger issues in the world, but this did irritate me enough that everytime I logged on, I would go correct my profile, so for those OCD types, hopefully this will bring some harmony to your life (it did mine).
